Cold exposure and nerve repair

Its a good news day! I have been experimenting with cold exposure for its health benefits recently and it seems to be helping me recover some feeling in a couple of malfunction fingers, let me explain...
I had a lot of needles pushed into my arteries when I was in hospital recently. Unfortunately the second and third finger on my left hand have been kind of weird feeling, numb and slightly painful. I wasn't sure if it was a post cellulitis thing or more likely its a bit of nerve damage or nerve impingement. It doesn't feel too serious, like it would probably just sort itself out on its own in time, but the downside is it makes playing the guitar really difficult.
Independently of this I thought I would try out the Iceman Wim Hofs method, a combination of breath work and cold exposure. Well the cold exposure bit is definitely showing some promise. The day after my second serious swim in the sea recently, the dull fingers were feeling pretty normal for a while. Thats progress I thought. With each dip they seem to be getting better. By chance I met a lady on the beach who explained she went swimming in the sea herself because she found it really helped her fibromyalgia, how interesting I thought.
Another observation is I notice serious tingling around the top of the shoulders and the neck when I first get into the cold sea. The rest of my body seems up for the challenge of a cold dip but this is the only area where it takes a bit of settling down before I can properly chill out phnarr phnarr. As I discovered this is where the mythical brown adipose tissue is located.
