Its great to have a plan
Its great to have a meal plan
Its great to batch cook beautifully nutritionally optimised meals
Its great to track your progress in MyFitnessPal
But sometimes, just sometimes a little bit of what you fancy is just whats called for.
It could be food for the soul or like the cravings of a pregnant woman pickled onions and strawberry jam
Perhaps it doesnt make rational sense but you know you want it in a good way.
So I wake up in the middle of the night pondering cheese on toast, how bizarre!
I cant remember the last time I had that.
I take the obvious action and have that for breakfast and discover it works really well as a garlic delivery system.
Here's how :-
Caramelise a red onion (sliced)
Toast two pieces of wholemeal bread
When toasted, butter the toast and spread with one fat clove of minced garlic
Add carmelised onions
Cover toast with slices of cheese
Melt under grill
Delicious! Could be a little bit of what you fancy is good for you 😃
